Purpose
To lead a team of Employment Specialists on the WLA Connect to Work programme, supporting disabled people and those with learning difficulties into employment. This includes providing training, mentoring, supervision, and ensuring compliance with the IPS / Supported Employment approach. The role will ensure consistent delivery of quality service standards within a designated area, meeting contract targets for referrals (starts on provision), engagement activity, employment outcomes, and fidelity compliance.
The role will involve communication with key stakeholders including (but not limited to) employers, Jobcentre Plus (JCP), local authority services, community organisations, and other local partners to ensure provision is integrated at community level. The post holder will support the Service Manager in maximising service outcomes and work closely with the wider Connect to Work programme team.
The individual will hold overall accountability for KPI and fidelity results within their designated area and will be expected to address underperformance in a timely and effective manner.
Please note this is a peripatetic role. The successful candidate will work in the community, with home as a base. You will be expected to regularly attend community locations to build relationships and undertake activities such as shadowing. Expenses will therefore only be paid from the first work location.
