This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate interested in a leadership role within Integrated Adult Social Care. This is a full-time permanent position.
The Assistant Director role will provide clear and visible leadership that will enable the service to realise our vision and improve outcomes for individuals. You will lead and further develop the existing successful delivery models for community services which ensure co-ordinated high-quality care for individuals, their families, and communities.
The role will work across the Devon County Council in relation to Devon County Council’s countywide services in partnership with health colleagues. The role has responsibilities for working age adults with a disability and the role has corporate leadership responsibilities in this area.
You will have experience of managing operational teams to deliver effective and efficient services within the social care sector at a senior level, be a confident leader with an ability to:
1. demonstrate a working knowledge of the legal frameworks within social care,
2. provide practice leadership to the service and its members,
3. manage complex and challenging issues and service changes,
4. effectively use data and quality measures for robust performance management,
5. improve quality of practice through listening to the voice of people we support,
6. to motivate and influence a range of stakeholders and manage partnerships within a multi-agency environment.
