The UK Corporate Banking Head of Financial Crime Advisory is a senior subject matter expert responsible for providing leadership and advice on financial crime risk management, including compliance with regulatory standards such as Anti-Money Laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, and bribery and corruption. The role aims to protect the bank, its clients, employees, and society from financial crime.
Key Accountabilities:
* Design and own the methodology for managing financial crime risk in the first line of defence.
* Develop and enhance financial crime risk management strategies for the UK Corporate Bank.
* Define and oversee the bank's financial crime risk appetite.
* Support forums managing financial crime risk within the UK Corporate Bank.
* Oversee risk management processes executed by risk management and operations teams.
* Assist product owners in managing financial crime risks for new and existing products.
* Provide support for UK Corporate Bank or Barclays Group projects as needed.
* Manage and oversee change management related to financial crime risk.
* Liaise with stakeholders including business teams, compliance, legal, audit, and regulators.
* Oversee transaction monitoring and client/payment screening programs.
Key Skills:
* Deep understanding of UK regulatory frameworks such as Money Laundering Regulations, JMLSG, FCA guidance.
* Experience in banking and payments is advantageous.
* Ability to interpret complex data and communicate risks effectively to non-experts.
* Significant decision-making authority in risk management.
* Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
* Clear and direct communication style for detailed policies and regulations.
