Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part‑Time 0.5 to 0.8 FTE basis (18.75 to 30 hours per week)
Salary: £70,000 per annum, pro rata
Location: Remote with essential attendance at regular meetings in London.
About the Role
As CEO, you will lead the Sentencing Academy, overseeing strategic direction, ensuring organisational sustainability, and advancing evidence‑based sentencing practices to reduce re‑offending, provide justice to victims, and improve public confidence. The role involves executing a strategic plan that supports the charity’s longevity, managing operational compliance, ensuring financial health, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
About You
You are a passionate, experienced leader with a proven track record in the non‑profit sector. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strategic planning, governance, and financial management experience, and a strong ability to secure funding through grants and partnerships. You inspire and lead a diverse team, build and maintain relationships, and represent the organisation in public forums and the media. You have strong analytic problem‑solving skills and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
