Specialist Podiatrist – Diabetic Foot Clinic
To provide highly specialised podiatric care for patients attending the Diabetic Foot Clinic. The Diabetic Foot Clinic is a podiatry‑led, multidisciplinary, tertiary referral unit which provides expert specialist foot care, advanced assessment and diagnostic techniques for high‑risk patients with complex foot pathologies resulting from complications of diabetes.
* Deliver podiatry service across multiple sites, ensuring high‑standard foot care and appropriate escalation to the acute multidisciplinary team (MDT) and step‑down to local services.
* Actively contribute to the multidisciplinary team, including vascular and orthopaedic clinics.
* Educate patients and carers, and provide education to other health‑care professionals (medical, surgical, podiatric, nursing, physiotherapy, social services) and staff when appropriate.
* Promote the role and scope of podiatry locally, nationally, and internationally.
