This permanent role is critical within the Crisis Management Claims team, managing and resolving claims for our customers. The role primarily involves handling UK & Lloyd’s Product Recall claims across multiple jurisdictions, as well as War, Terrorism, Political Violence, and Kidnap and Ransom claims. Additionally, support for Political Risk claims is expected.
You will work closely with your manager and collaborate with the practice leader, underwriting team, brokers, clients, and experts, taking ownership of critical claims issues.
This role is based in our London office, with a hybrid working model introduced via our Smart Working initiative.

Responsibilities include:
1. Managing product recall and other Crisis Management claims within authority levels, engaging proactively with stakeholders to resolve claims promptly, fairly, and expertly.
2. Adhering to AXA XL’s Global Claims Handling Practices.
3. Demonstrating AXA XL behaviours and values.
4. Ensuring claims are reserved appropriately within guidelines.
5. Maintaining excellent relationships with underwriters, actuaries, and other departments.
6. Handling claims notifications timely and reporting trends to relevant stakeholders, including underwriting and actuarial teams.
7. Providing excellent customer service to policyholders and brokers, maintaining and developing client relationships.
8. Managing loss adjusters, lawyers, and experts, ensuring costs and performance are appropriate.
You will report to the Claims Manager – Political Risk, Credit & Bond and Crisis Management.
Skills and abilities:
* Experience with Product Recall claims or Crisis Management portfolio (advantage).
* Knowledge of Lloyd’s standards and regulations (desired).
* ECF experience (advantage).
* Highly organized with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements.
* Adaptability to learn new product lines.
* Proactive relationship management skills.
* Customer-focused with a calm demeanor under challenge.
* Creative, initiative-taking, and committed to continuous improvement.
