This role can be worked on a hybrid basis in their London office, with 2 days a week in the office and 3 days from home.
Responsibilities include:
1. Liaising with authors, internal and external stakeholders, including printers and freelancers, to ensure timely delivery of manuscripts.
2. Dealing with author queries related to book production.
3. Checking, proofreading, and occasionally copyediting manuscripts to ensure format adherence to house style.
4. Preparing back-cover blurbs and liaising with designers for book covers.
5. Attending regular team meetings with colleagues in other departments to discuss manuscript progress.
In this role, you will help develop and shape the production editorial processes, ensuring the highest quality service for authors. The role will also include overseeing and mentoring a junior team member.
