The Role
To be responsible for providing and developing Clinical Psychology services for older people within the agreed localities of NHS Lanarkshire. To contribute to the provision and development of Clinical Psychology services for older people in other areas of NHS Lanarkshire.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Good Honours degree in psychology (2.1 or above)
2. Post graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology
3. Registered with the Health Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist
4. Post qualification training in clinical supervision accredited by a relevant training course
5. Post-qualification experience (or equivalent) of supervised clinical practice
6. Experience of working with older people
7. Maintenance of mandatory training requirements set by NHS Lanarkshire
8. A commitment to post qualification CPD according to BPS guidelines
9. A working knowledge of other mental health professions
10. A knowledge of BPS, NHS and other relevant legal and ethical guidelines
11. A driving licence is required, this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
12. Post-qualification CPD relevant to the post e.g modules of the Glasgow University MSc in Clinical Neuropsychology
13. Post-qualification experience (or equivalent) of supervised clinical practice
14. Experience of working with older people
15. Post-qualification experience of working with older people
16. Supervisory experience
17. Post-qualification experience of neuropsychological evaluation
18. A commitment to post qualification CPD according to BPS guidelines
19. Experience in different psychotherapeutic approaches
20. Post-qualification experience of service improvement
21. Delivery of group therapy
22. Experience in early assessment or triage processes
23. Knowledge of government legislation and policy relevant to older people
24. Knowledge of functional mental health issues in later life
25. Knowledge of organic mental health issues in later life
26. Knowledge of government legislation and policy relevant to older people
27. Ability to organise workload of others e.g. trainee, assistant
28. Ability to organise own workload/work autonomously
29. Ability to work with other mental health professions
