THE EMPLOYER IS: UMI FOODS LTDIn this role, you will meet daily with the Production Manager to receive work instructions and support the production of new products within an industrial setting, including final packaging. Responsibilities include carrying out recipe trials in the test kitchen, completing both small-batch production using domestic appliances and large-batch production using commercial-scale equipment. You will conduct quality checks, maintain accurate technical records, complete customer paperwork and ensure strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and allergen procedures.The position requires maintaining a clean and safe workspace, participating in customer visits and third-party audits, and carrying out daily and weekly GMP audits. You will work collaboratively as part of a multi-national and multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities
* Adhering to food safety training to produce safe, quality products.
* Maintaining a safe working environment.
* Completion of paperwork and frequent checks as per Quality Manual and HACCP plan.
* Production and development of new products.
* Working as part of a team to meet targets and deadlines.
* Food manufacturing and cooking in line with training received.
* Quality Assurance and Control procedures.
* Using machinery and equipment in a safe manner.
Skills and Qualifications
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Flexible approach to shifts.
* Ability to follow management instructions.
* Manufacturing experience.
* Basic food safety / HACCP skills.
* Record keeping to BRC standard.
