Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and suitably qualified healthcare professionals to train as sonographers. The role involves postgraduate training to become a competent sonographer. The training post is AFC band 6, with promotion to AFC band 7 upon completion of training.
Training & Rotation
Ultrasound training will be undertaken across West Suffolk Hospital radiology sites including Newmarket CDC, Thetford Healthy Living Centre and Sudbury Healthy Living Centre. After successful completion of the course and a period of preceptorship, the candidate will be based at the CDC in Newmarket, with opportunities to rotate to other West Suffolk Hospital Radiology sites.
Working Hours & Flexibility
During the training period, the successful candidate is expected to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The Ultrasound Department offers flexible working, including full or part-time hours and condensed weeks following qualification. We are working towards a seven-day working pattern at the CDC and the wider ultrasound department.
