Overview
We’ve got an exciting opportunity to join our team that looks after the branch systems used across our business centres. This team works with the MIDAS applications, covering everything from delivery efficiencies and stock to customer maintenance across Booker and Makro. We’re also closely linked with the Development and Operations teams to make sure everything runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently.
As an IS Senior Analyst, you’ll be right at the heart of things. You’ll take the lead on development projects for our MIDAS back office systems, supporting the IS Manager while also running projects yourself from start to finish. You’ll be keeping everything on track, from planning to delivery, and making sure the team knows who’s doing what, deadlines are clear, and progress is moving forward.
Responsibilities
* Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
* Write, review and analyse system specifications to develop effective test cases.
* Execute test cases and analyse results.
* Evaluate system functionality based on specifications.
* Report bugs and errors found during the testing process to development teams.
* Prioritise and escalate issues to colleagues and senior managers as needed to maintain progress.
* Analyse how the systems and processes work, and adhere to rigorous testing procedures.
* Maintain clear documentation and effective written communications.
Requirements
* Good understanding of how the MIDAS system functions.
* Technical project management skills and successful delivery of IT systems or improvements.
* Knowledge of wholesale industry business processes.
* Background in software testing, change management, or support provision.
* Good people management, with proven ability to effectively work with internal and external teams.
* Service management skills with experience of dealing with external suppliers.
* Consistent delivery of results.
