A highly successful and rapidly growing high end leisure business is seeking an experienced Finance Director for a career-defining opportunity to develop and lead a bustling finance team based in the Poole area.Your RoleWhile in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
* Acting as a direct line of report for the Financial Controller, providing oversight and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance
* Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring robust financial controls, efficient processes, and smooth delivery of all business-as-usual finance functions
* Playing a key role in the organisation’s commercial strategy, providing financial analysis and insight to support funding initiatives, M&A activity, and investment decisions
* Driving both organic and acquisitive growth by identifying opportunities, assessing financial viability, and supporting integration and delivery of acquisitions
* Collaborating with supply chain, operations, and commercial teams to identify and resolve financial and operational inefficiencies across the supply chain
* Partnering with the executive team to align financial strategy with wider business goals, contributing to long-term planning and performance improvement
* Managing external relationships with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders, ensuring strong financial governance and compliance with all relevant regulations
* Developing and refining KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide clear financial insight for decision-making across the business
You MUST HavePlease apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent) and extensive post-qualified experience within a senior financial leadership remit
* Core exposure within both manufacturing and ecommerce environments
* Strong commercial aptitude, with experience in defining successful financial strategies and exploring opportunities to improve processes
* Good awareness of areas including accounting, controls and governance, audit and risk management
* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and wider accounting/finance software and systems
* Exquisite communication skills, particularly in being able to command the engagement of key stakeholders and influence strategic decision making
