Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment, maintaining high standards of food safety, and providing exceptional service.
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead a production team and assist in the efficient and economic operation of your designated area of responsibility. Ensuring the processes, production and quality of our products meet the safest, legal and highest specification as per customer and company requirements. Ensuring that all staff work safely in accordance to the relative risk assessments and training procedures.
Main Duties:
* Communicates expectations to production workers and appraises their performance
* Ensure that all products are prepared and packed to the highest quality standard and that their consistency is maintained at all times.
* Supervise the team across all departments to achieve the maximum efficiency in the preparing and packing of products.
* Delegates manufacturing tasks so that team can meet production deadlines
* Liaise with the buying team on stocks, availability and orders.
* Manage all stock to maximise the yield.
* Ensure that the personal and factory hygiene standards in the factory are maintained.
* Ensure the factory environment is safe for all its employees, visitors and contractors.
* Responsible for the correct usage of all equipment within your designated area including both fixed and portable equipment.
* Ensure that equipment is used safely and all defects are promptly reported to engineers.
* Responsible for the whole area assigned to you including equipment, corridors and shared walkways.
* Counsels and disciplines production employees who fail to perform or violate company policies
* Nurtures cooperation and communication within production team and other departments
* Ensure that GMP for area is adhered to and Clean as You Go is diligently performed
Detailed Accountability
* Plan the start and finish times of the team to ensure all activities are covered with the required skills and all preparation and packing requirements are met.
* Monitor all team operators' performance to ensure maximum efficiency and output.
* Develop each member of the team to maximise their skills to achieve a multi-skilled team.
* Liaise with other areas of the factory to ensure optimum utilisation of labour.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as and when required and requested, and understand that these duties may be in another department.
* Conduct yourself in a responsible and courteous manner at all times.
* Maintain confidentiality regarding the work that is carried out.
Start of shift
* Present on the shop floor, wearing correct PPE at the machine/equipment.
* Ensure your designated area is set up and running for the start of the shift.
* Ensure colleagues and agency labour around the workstation are wearing correct PPE and are fully aware of what is required of them.
* Take responsibility to ensure all required line/equipment/process checks and documentation are completed.
* Liaise with factory Manager regarding days activities and quality issues.
End of shift
* Handover with factory Manager (circa 30mins after shift)
* Complete all required paperwork and submit it to the relevant person
* Inform factory Manager of quality issues
* Clean workstation as required.
* Clock Out.
* Do not remove PPE until in the designated area.
Additional Duties:

Shift 2pm to 11pm Flexible 5 days from 7
