Pastoral Support Assistant (full time, temporary) Rochdale £500 - £600 per week PAYE (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) Start date: June 2026 The School and Role Step into a role where every day you help pupils reset, regulate, and re-engage with learning as a Pastoral Support Assistant within a specialist secondary SEND setting in Rochdale This is a key role within the school’s RESET Team, a dedicated behaviour and pastoral support provision that works with pupils who have become dysregulated in class. You will support students 1:1 and in small groups, helping them de-escalate safely, reflect on behaviour, and return to learning when they are ready. Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral leads, you’ll play a vital part in creating a calm, structured and supportive environment where pupils feel understood and supported, not excluded. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about behaviour support, pastoral care, and helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
