Murphy is recruiting for a Construction Manager to work with Energy on the National Grid, Great Grid Partnership at Glaslyn – Porthamdog. A day in the life of a Murphy Construction Manager
* Overall management of project teams during the construction and installation phase.
* Coordination of constructability input during solutions identification and development.
* Allocation of construction staff to projects based on experience, skills, and knowledge.
* Work with Project Managers to size the construction resource pool appropriately.
* Overall management of construction resources, including labour, plant and materials.
* Performance management of subcontractors.
* Ensure that the construction and installation teams meet agreed schedules and man‑hour budgets.
* Oversee the duties of the Principal Contractor in accordance with CDM Regulations.
* Control that all temporary and permanent construction and installation activities meet quality procedures.
* Interface with all functional leaders to facilitate successful project development from solution stage through to handover.

* Experience delivering major civils projects.
* Experience in a Construction Manager role or similar.
* HNC / HND or NVQ Level 5 (or Degree).
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to develop close working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
