Assistant Spa Manager

You will operate as part of the Health spa team, delivering exceptional standards of customer service, product knowledge, and hygiene at all times. You are responsible for ensuring procedures are followed in accordance with Company Policy. As attendant team leader, you will oversee the spa attendant team, ensuring a high standard of the client journey and assisting in exceeding Spa financial targets. You will assist the Spa Manager with compliance concerning Health & Safety and have significant responsibility for pool plant operations and memberships.
MAIN DUTIES:
* Oversee all gym memberships
* Assist in the operation of gym facilities
* Maintain the Pool plant room, including daily operations
* Manage water quality and record keeping
* Provide poolside supervision
* Assist in daily Spa operations, deputising for the Manager when needed
* Maintain a customer-focused approach at all times
* Process guest bookings and payments accurately, and assist with enquiries
* Meet targets, objectives, and budget figures as set by the Spa Manager
* Order stock as required
* Coach and train junior Spa/Beauty staff
* Promote sales and encourage team members to maximize opportunities
* Monitor competitor activity
* Ensure all Spa areas meet safety standards, conducting regular checks in line with Company and Environmental Health policies, working closely with Health & Safety personnel
* Keep Spa and equipment clean and well-maintained, addressing hazards and following up on maintenance
* Ensure all areas are well-presented and meet company standards
* Maintain up-to-date spa collateral and displays to attract interest

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Complete all required Health & Safety and Job Skills training
* Follow Company Health & Safety guidelines, especially regarding hazards and accidents
* Take responsibility for your own health and safety and that of colleagues, in accordance with relevant legislation
* Undertake necessary training/coaching to perform your duties effectively
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
* Minimum of 1 year experience in quality operations, preferably in a reputable spa
* Confident communicator with internal and external customers
* Enjoy engaging with guests
* Understand the importance of standards for profitability
* Interest in fitness, beauty, and wellbeing
* Preferably trained to Level 3 in Pool Plant Operation and hold a pool responder qualification
* Computer literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Flexible to work any day, including early mornings, late evenings, and bank holidays; longer shifts may be required
* Enthusiastic, hardworking, and customer-focused
* Maintain a smart appearance and high personal hygiene standards
