Role Information
As an English Tutor, you will support learners in developing their English skills and confidence, guiding them towards achieving nationally recognized qualifications. You will work as part of a nationwide team, creating tailored learning experiences, with support from subject specialists and vocational managers.
We are recruiting a part-time English Tutor within our Maths & English division, working a total of 9.5 hours per week.
Duties:
* Deliver engaging GCSE and Functional Skills English sessions.
* Assess learners' starting points and development needs.
* Plan and deliver tailored lessons meeting expectations.
* Complete Individual Learning Plans with SMART targets.
* Handle administrative tasks like registers and reviews.
* Collaborate with vocational colleagues to support retention and achievement.
* Ensure assessments meet awarding body requirements.
* Participate in team meetings and moderation activities.
* Promote safe working practices, safeguarding, and health & safety.
* Engage in ongoing professional development.
* Create an inspiring learning environment.
* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications:
* Qualified English tutor (at least a L3 subject specialism)
* Minimum of 2 years delivery experience
* Hold a PTTLs/AET (or equivalent)
