Planner
Monday to Friday 40 hours per week (day shift).
Location:
Coulton YO62 4NQ, located between Thirsk and Malton, North Yorkshire.

The Ian Mosey Group is a reputable and well-established family-owned business. Ian Mosey (Feed) Ltd, a subsidiary, specialises in manufacturing superior quality and innovative animal feed from its mill in Coulton, near York, delivering to farms across the North of England.
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Planner to join our fast-paced Planning team. Reporting to the Planning Manager, this is a multifaceted role that involves a variety of tasks and responsibilities. These range from material requirement planning, to scheduling production and planning timely delivery of finished product, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely fulfilment of customer orders. All whilst ensuring compliance with relevant feed safety, transport, and safety, health, and environment regulatory and Company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and optimise daily, weekly and monthly raw material and finished product inventory levels
* Material requirement planning and placing purchase orders
* Liaise with suppliers to manage timely delivery of orders
* Create and manage daily production and transport schedules to ensure timely output
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure alignment and efficient execution of the supply plan
* Track KPIs, monitor performance and troubleshoot issues such as material shortages / overages or production and transport delays and develop contingency plans
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 9 to 4
* Previous experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment
* Proficiency with planning software, including MRP/ERP systems (i.e., SAP), and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, identify trends, and develop effective plans
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
* Strong time-management and organisational skills to prioritise and balance multiple tasks with a high level of detail in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
* Operator Licence Awareness Training (OLAT)
* Experience in the agricultural, food, or feed industry
* Knowledge of logistics management
