Class 1 Night Driver –
Our well-established client based in Exeter is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver for an ongoing opportunity. This role involves covering the clients’ current drivers for sickness and holiday, minimum 20 weeks per year.
Requirements:
1. Valid HGV Class 1 / LGV Cat C +E Driving Licence
2. Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards
3. Clean driving licence – no endorsements (0 points) due to insurance policy requirements
4. Minimum 12 months relevant driving experience
5. Ability to adhere to structured delivery schedules and safety procedures
6. Strong communication skills and professional conduct
Role Overview:
7. Operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle on nightly runs from the depot in Exeter.
8. Manual handling of pallets within the vehicle to prepare for forklift loading/unloading at each depot
9. Completion of routine vehicle checks and transport documentation
10. Engage with repeat customers and uphold service quality standards
11. Work independently while maintaining close coordination with the logistics team
Key Details:
12. £21.36 per hour on PAYE Accrued plus £2.57 per hour holiday pay equates to £23.93 per hour on PAYE Advanced.
