Role Overview:
As a Customer Service Assistant in our busy yard, you will ensure yard operations are efficient, safe, and customer-focused. You will work outdoors serving customers, operating forklifts, and preparing/loading orders. Pride in delivering high-quality customer service through product knowledge is essential. Branch hours are Mon-Thu 07:30-17:00, Fri 07:30-16:00, Sat 08:00-12:00, with flexible working patterns available.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
* Serve customers face-to-face, working independently and as part of a team
* Prepare orders for collection and delivery, complete sales documentation
* Load and unload vehicles manually and with forklifts
* Check goods inwards and store correctly
* Maintain stock levels and assist with stocktakes
Candidate Requirements:
* Approachable, pleasant team player with a passion for customer service
* Willingness to learn, with basic literacy and numeracy skills
* Proactive attitude
* Experience in a similar role and forklift license are desirable
