Job Title: Theatre Practitioner
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our team in the theatre department. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and setup of operating theatres, ensuring equipment safety and sterility, and providing post-operative care to patients.
About the Role:
* You will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Responsibilities include preparing instruments, maintaining sterility, anticipating surgeon needs, and ensuring equipment safety.
* You will also support the Anaesthetist in equipment preparation, patient monitoring, airway management, and positioning.
Requirements:
* You must be a Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
* Experience or training in a theatre environment specialising in scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery is essential.
* You should have a good understanding of infection control, manual handling, and patient safety principles.
* Able to work under pressure, problem-solve, and respond quickly to changes in a dynamic environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
* Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to safe surgical practice are necessary.
