We are looking for an experienced nurse to cover a maternity leave period for approximately 9 months. Ideally you will have worked in primary care before and will be predominantly working in the treatment room. Currently we have a team of 8 nurses, each having specialist areas. We will be relatively flexible in our essential/desirable skill set.
Together, we are a fabulous team. We have an informal, friendly and supportive culture and try to look after each other. We like to have a laugh over lunch. We're forward thinking, we love new ideas and are always open to new ways of working.
Main duties of the job
You'll be seeing a wide range of patients, depending on the skills and competencies you bring to the role. Your caseload will be be dressings, cervical cytology, immunisations including baby imms. Working autonomously, but within a supportive team, it will be as varied as we can make it. We will need the 17 hours a week to be over 2 days as our room availability means we can't spread the hours over more days unfortunately.
We are very open to informal conversations, please don't hesitate to drop us a line.
About us
We have approximately 12,500 patients with a wide demographic mix from the areas of high deprivation in the centre of Weston to the outlying areas of Uphill, Bleadon and Hutton.
We are open to team members' ongoing development and progression. The atmosphere is fun and inclusive without a top down approach. You won't find a more friendly and welcoming team!
