Your new role
Asmercial Manager, you'll be responsible for successfully closing off a major tels project within a 3-6 month timeframe. You'll lead a focused team of 2 professionals, ensuring allmercial aspects of the project are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing stakeholder relationships across multiple departments
2. Overseeing contract negotiations and variations
3. Ensuringpliance withmercial terms and conditions
4. Managing a team of two Quantity Surveyors
5. Monitoring project financials and profitability
6. Preparing detailedmercial reports for senior leadership
7. Identifying and mitigatingmercial risks
8. Coordinating with technical teams to alignmercial and operational objectives
This role requires someone who can hit the ground running and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll need to succeed
9. Proven experience as amercial Manager within the telmunications sector
10. Strong project closure and contract management expertise
11. Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate small teams
12. Excellent stakeholder management andmunication skills
13. In-depth knowledge of tels projectmercials and industry standards
14. Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management
15. Experience with contract negotiations andmercial risk assessment
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
17. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
18. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
19. Previous experience with major telmunications providers would be advantageous, but utilities (water/energy) will be considered.
