Description
1. Managing a portfolio of clients with varying business sizes and sectors.
2. Serving as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients.
3. Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
4. Technical Accounting Work
5. Preparing and reviewing annual accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
6. Handling complex accounting issues and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
7. Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns.
8. Reviewing VAT returns and other regulatory filings.
9. Providing technical advice on accounting and tax matters.
10. Team Leadership
11. Supervising and mentoring junior accountants and trainees.
12. Delegating and reviewing work completed by junior staff.
13. Providing technical guidance and training to team members.
14. Conducting performance reviews for direct reports.
Profile
* ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist (or equivalent professional qualification).
* Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an accounting practice.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge with UK GAAP and IFRS experience.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
* Tax compliance knowledge (corporate and personal tax).
* Ability to manage a client portfolio independently.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
* Experience supervising junior staff members.
* Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Client relationship management experience.
