Due to growth in our Integrated Security Systems business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Installation Project Engineer in our Fire & Security Systems division to cover the North of England. The position will be responsible for successfully installing fire alarms and integrated security systems, while maintaining cost controls.
What you will be doing
1. Manage electronic security and fire systems installations.
2. Commission systems when required.
3. Verify equipment specifications at the pre-installation stage.
4. Develop and manage site-specific method statements and risk assessments, ensuring health and safety compliance.
5. Perform technical audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
6. Ensure installations meet legal regulations.
7. Liaise with customers and contractors at site level.
8. Test and commission systems; assist in producing O&M documentation.
9. Provide customer training and maximize satisfaction.
What we are looking for
* Experience in installing and commissioning fire and security systems, including projects over £100K.
* Intermediate IT skills, including MS Office and fire system software.
* Experience with IP CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarms.
* Knowledge of Gent by Honeywell, Vigilon, and Vigilon Voice.
* Management of electrical contractors and subcontractors.
* Practical project management experience within budgets.
* Willingness to work varying hours and travel nationally.
* Valid driving license.
