Software Technical Lead - Software Developer
Annual Salary: £66,970 to £90,000 per annum (Pro Rata)
Location: Brighton/hybrid (6 days per month in the office)
Job Type: 6-month Fixed term contract
A new exciting Technical Lead position has become available, to join a growing public service body operating within the civil service.
 This role is ideal for someone passionate about modern software development, eager to lead transformational projects, and skilled in .NET, C#, and Azure development. You will play a crucial role in guiding development teams and maintaining hands-on involvement in building enterprise web-based solutions. 
This role is on an initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract with strong possibility of extension afterwards.
Day-to-day of the role:
Lead technical aspects across development teams to deliver key strategic initiatives while engaging in hands-on development.
Apply robust architecture principles such as Microservices, Domain Driven Design (DDD), and Eventing/Messaging.
Coach and mentor team members in advanced development skills and architecture principles.
Collaborate in a cloud-first environment, focusing on Microsoft Azure technologies to build scalable and robust applications.
Maintain a balance of home and office work, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented team environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Significant experience with Microsoft development technologies, including Microsoft .NET & C#.
Broad knowledge of modern architecture patterns such as Domain Driven Design, Microservices, and Event-based messaging systems.
Proficiency in Agile and DevOps principles.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Blazor/Web Assembly.
In-depth knowledge of OOD, SOLID principles, GoF Design Patterns, and relational databases, particularly SQL Server.
Experience in building RESTful APIs.
