The Team
KPMG's Strategy & Performance Transformation team is looking for an exceptional Associate Director with a Healthcare and Life Sciences focus and experience of at least one of our core propositions; Growth Strategy, Deal Strategy and Operational Strategy.
The Strategy & Performance Transformation team is part of KPMG's rapidly expanding Strategy Group, which delivers value for clients by challenging conventional thinking, bringing deep industry and functional insights and executing with investor-grade rigour. We are a diverse team of over 170 practitioners, working collaboratively with and orchestrating KPMG's broad set of capabilities within our Deal Advisory business.
Within the Strategy & Performance Transformation team we have an established Healthcare and Life Sciences practice. We are seeking an Associate Director to join the team who is a professional, talented individual with a passion for identifying and creating innovative solutions for clients.
In Healthcare and Life Sciences, we focus on Commercial Strategy, including launch and commercialisation strategy and transformation, pricing and market access, portfolio strategy, competitive strategy, and LoE strategy. We also support inorganic growth activities such as target identification, red flag analysis, commercial due diligence, and business planning throughout transactions.

Role & Responsibilities
To be an effective Associate Director, candidates should be able to:
* Build deep client relationships and be recognized as a trusted advisor by senior executives
* Support business development opportunities from pipeline to conversion
* Develop expertise in relevant propositions
* Lead the design and delivery of complex engagements
* Negotiate scope and fees on standard projects
* Develop thought leadership and maintain a strong professional network
* Manage risks according to firm frameworks
* Inspire and develop team members, providing constructive feedback
* Lead practice development initiatives
* Monitor industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly
The person
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
* Extensive experience in strategy consulting or related roles
* Deep understanding of Healthcare & Life Sciences industry drivers and strategies
* Experience leading complex projects and managing teams
* Proven business development skills with senior stakeholders
* Strong relationship-building capabilities
* Scientific or clinical background (preferred)
* Coaching and mentoring skills
Technical skills include:
* Strong academic record
* Sales and business development expertise
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Structured and creative thinking
* Credibility with senior clients
* Ability to interpret technical data and provide strategic insights
