About The Role
A Senior Quantity Surveyor who can provide commercial and contractual expertise to colleagues across the business supporting the management of projects in line with agreed contractual arrangements and obligations.
Responsibilities
* Lead post-contract delivery and ensure robust commercial assurance across our business areas.
* Directly manage up to 5 people and work collaboratively with delivery managers and partners to manage contracts, variations, and risks.
* Champion continuous improvement and compliance with our internal controls.
* Forecast and control project spend, resolve contract issues, and identify opportunities for efficiency and value.
* Build strong relationships, influence outcomes, and make a real impact on business performance.
Qualifications
* Negotiating experience of contract terms and contractual claims from delivery partners.
* Proficient in managing delivery partners differing views as to interpretation of contract terms, capable of managing and resolving valuation and additional cost claims.
* Proficient in contract administration and management, experienced with standard form contracts such as NEC and JCT.
* Cost value reconciliation, project management accounts, cost control and forecasting experience.
* Competent negotiator with excellent contractor management skills, having a solid understanding of claims resolution.
* Working towards or already have chartered status and have a Quantity Surveying Degree.
* Essential to have a driving licence.
