We're looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Computer Science/IT Technician to join our School of Science at our Leeds campus. Working 17.5 hours per week on a permanent basis with some flexibility around the days of work.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking and inclusive academic environment where your technical expertise will directly contribute to the learning journey of our students. Whether it's supporting practical classes, assisting with cutting-edge student projects, or helping staff and students navigate the latest technologies, your work will have a real impact.

As a Computer Science Technician you will:

* Provide expert technical support across Computer Science programmes (including Software Development, AI, Networks and more
* Maintain and managing equipment in our computing labs and research suites
* Train staff and students on software, hardware and lab safety practices
* Lead on technical support for student and staff research projects
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety protocols, including risk assessments
* Collaborate with academic teams and contributing to our inclusive culture
Is this you?:
* A degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent professional experience
* High-level skills in Microsoft Office 365, network equipment, and multi-platform systems (PC, Mac, iOS, Android)
* Strong understanding of virtualisation platforms (Azure, AWS, VMware) and scripting (e.g., Bash)
* Great communication skills and a collaborative approach
* A proactive attitude to continual professional development
