Pay Rates Pay varies by region as follows: North West: £14.56 - £23.99 p/h North: £16.25 - £19.61 p/h South East: £17.14 - £30.00 p/h South West: £17.99 - £23.99 p/h West Midlands: £16.25 - £23.99 p/h Yorkshire: £16.25 - £25.47 p/h North East: £18.20 - £21.49 p/h East Midlands: £16.25 - £25.47 p/h East: £16.25 - £24.65 p/h Your Time at Work As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for: - Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness. - Maintaining accurate delivery records, logbooks, and paperwork in line with company policy and legal requirements. - Following all health and safety procedures, including PPE use and site safety compliance. - Ensuring adherence to driver's hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations Our Perfect Worker Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly. Our ideal driver will: - Have excellent communication skills and a strong focus on vehicle safety and compliance. - Be able to identify and report vehicle defects correctly and promptly. - Maintain a professional attitude and commitment to safe driving at all times. You must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (CE) Licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tacho Card. With no more than 6 points and no DD or DR convictions.
