Traffic Planner
Location: Norwich NR6
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:30 (30-minute unpaid break)
Job Type: Temp to Perm
The Best Connection are recruiting for a Traffic Planner to work within a busy logistics operation based on-site at a manufacturing facility in Norwich (NR6). This is a great opportunity for someone with transport or logistics experience looking for a long-term role with progression.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing and controlling a team of shunter drivers
* Ensuring demountable boxes are presented on time for customer loading
* Coordinating with loading bay teams to maintain efficient turnaround times
* Maintaining accurate records of box and vehicle movements
* Handling telephone and email queries from customers and drivers
* Liaising with external contractors regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance
* Planning and monitoring MOTs, services and vehicle inspections
* Completing general transport and logistics administration
* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures
* Providing cover for the Transport Planner when required
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in transport, logistics or traffic planning preferred
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Personable with confident communication skills
* Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Good attention to detail
* IT confident (email and transport systems)
