Job Purpose:
The succesful candidate will play a key role in assessing and reviewing new and existing customers’ creditworthiness in line with the company’s risk appetite, credit policy and commercial strategy.
Working closely with Risk, Sales and other business functions you’ll provide accurate financial analysis and clear insights that enable confident decision-making.
This role also involves on-site customer visits to enhance the quality of the credit analysis and strengthen commercial relationships.
Main Responsibilities
* Deliver robust credit reviews for new and existing customers that tell a compelling, comprehensive insight-driven commentary.
* Prepare and present clear recommendations covering credit limits, security, monitoring, and controls that align with the company’s risk appetite and credit policy.
* Provide high-quality financial analysis that supports confident management decision-making and minimises the need for rework.
* Demonstrate initiative in proactively sourcing and verifying standard and non-standard information (financial accounts, transactional information, third-party insights) to enhance credit reviews and present a clear customer risk profile.
* Apply sound judgement, and creative problem-solving to assess customer risk, propose mitigation of that risk and balance commercial opportunities.
Requirements
* Preferably at least 3 years’ experience in credit and financial analysis across businesses of varying size, type, and complexity.
* Knowledge of credit risk management strategy to proactively support progress in this area.
* Strong knowledge of financial ratios, with proven ability to calculate, interpret, and explain their relevance to credit assessments.
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills including report writing and presenting
Desirable Education:
* CICM Level 3 Qualified
* Experience within the automotive industry
