Overview
A part-time Interior Designer role with a luxury property developer in Winchester. The position is suitable for an all-round designer with experience in the residential sector, strong attention to detail, and good commercial awareness. The role is part-time (3-4 days, flexible to suit the candidate) and is based in the South of England with an in-house design team of 22; permanent placement.
Role & Responsibilities
* Lead all show home designs and installations including FF&E (lighting, flooring, window treatments, custom joinery designs and finishes)
* Specify decorative elements for stock plots
* Interior architecture tasks including reviewing architectural, electrical and bathroom layouts
* Specify interior fixtures and fittings
* Create furniture layouts for sales brochures
* Lighting design including concepts, design proposals and full lighting plans
* Design bespoke joinery (e.g., media units, home cinemas, kitchen cabinets, storage)
* Produce technical specifications to accompany bespoke pieces
Required Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of experience on residential projects; experience on residential development is beneficial
* Proven ability to manage projects from concept through installation and snagging
* Strong concept development and implementation skills
* Confident across all FF&E stages, including bespoke pieces
* Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes and suppliers
* Good interior architecture experience and interior styling knowledge
* Experience liaising with clients, suppliers and third parties
* Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Programa is beneficial
* Strong presentation and communication skills
* Driving license and access to a car
