Staff Nurse - Mental Health
We are excited to advertise for a Band 5 Mental Health Nurse to join the team on Ramsey unit, Dane Garth.
As a staff nurse you will work alongside the multi‑disciplinary team to provide a high standard of care to those individuals who are within the most acute phase of illness, ensuring that all aspects of care are delivered.
You will need effective communication skills and will be required to take on the roles of shift leader and named nurse. You will be regularly supported and supervised by a more senior member of staff and a preceptorship is available if required. We are committed to staff development and provide encouragement and support for staff to continue their lifelong learning.
Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will be expected to work shifts covering 24 hours, seven days a week.

Person Specification
Education
* Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification (RNMH & RNLD)
* Ongoing registration with the NMC
* Evidence of continued professional development that supports clinical practice
Knowledge
* Can demonstrate an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments
* Can demonstrate a working knowledge of physical health conditions and the complications that this can cause to patients experiencing mental ill health
Experience
* Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team structure
* Experience of assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care needs
Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Salary
£31,049 to £37,796 a year
