The firm has placed over 2,000 energy contracts worth more than £1billion with more than 35 suppliers on behalf of nearly 200 clients, focusing on high‑value industrial and commercial accounts with significant energy spend.
Role Scope – Markets and Transactions Manager
This pivotal role reports directly to the ESM Director and serves as the interface between strategic clients and their complex requirements, ensuring that Ameresco deliverables are met to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
- Provide insights and analysis of global wholesale energy markets.
- Lead client risk‑management meetings and deliver forward‑buying recommendations.
- Lead fortnightly wholesale market webinars.
- Coordinate with suppliers and liaise with their product offerings.
- Strategically manage accounts for nominated major clients.
- Consult and model commercially for energy‑management consultancy projects.
- Ensure risk‑management activities are completed to a high standard.
- Conduct client risk‑management meetings professionally.
- Keep Ameresco fully briefed on supplier product offerings.
- Deliver complex energy‑management consultancy projects.
- Perform energy‑industry analytical work as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2years of relevant industry knowledge.
- Experience in energy risk management.
- Knowledge of energy‑supplier contract products and operation of different supplier contracts.
- Strong strategic client management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple workstreams and activities.
- Experience managing teams or handling managerial queries in a complex environment.
- Strong organisational, prioritisation, and deadline‑management skills.
- Self‑starter with the ability to identify priorities with limited supervision.
- Enthusiastic, confident, and customer‑focused.
- Passionate about energy efficiency and renewable energy.
