Job Overview
1. In Q2 2027, Darlington will be undertaking its Vacuum Building Outage (VBO) and performing its Vacuum Building Inspection (VBI). The VBO is a major project for Darlignton, as all four units are taken offline during this outage.
2. It is essential that the outage is completed in an effective, timely manner, to minimize the economic and operation impact to the company.
3. Candidate will be performing assessing work for the VBO/VBI. This includes evaluating tasks, processes, and systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. This may include risk assessment, task evaluation, performance monitoring, regulatory compliance, and inspections.
4. Candidate will be responsible for helping ensure that VBO/VBI work planning execution is performed in a correct, timely manner.
Qualifications
5. CANDU Operations experience required.
6. Former holding of a licensed operations position considered an asset.
7. Engineering Management experience with Reactor Safety considered an asset.
8. Requires a knowledge of control, mechanical or civil technology sufficient to understand the assembly, function, operation and mechanics of applicable equipment, systems and materials.
9. Experience in assessing and planning station work considered an asset.
