My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to work with an exciting, positive and dynamic team.
The successful candidate will initially gain experience within the sales department:-
1. Sales Ledger
2. Setting up customer accounts
3. Checking credit Limits
4. Checking sales orders/values on sales orders
5. Raising invoices
6. Checking credit terms
7. Credit Control, including chasing payments by telephone and e-mail, preparation of credit control reports
8. Entering sales cash into customer accounts and matching with sales invoices
9. Preparation of month end reports

They will then move into the other areas of the finance department until they be fullypetent in all areas.
Below is an overview of the tasks involved within each section:-

Sales Ledger
10. Setting up customer accounts
11. Checking credit Limits
12. Checking sales orders/values on sales orders
13. Raising invoices
14. Checking credit terms
15. Credit Control, including chasing payments by telephone and e-mail, preparation of credit control reports
16. Entering sales cash into customer accounts and matching with sales invoices
17. Preparation of month end reports

Purchase Ledger
18. Setting up supplier accounts, including making sure we have credit accounts in place
19. Checking invoices match to purchase order register
20. Coding and Inputting invoices
21. Preparation of debtor reports ready for weekly payment runs
22. Raising payments and raising manual payments
23. Reconciling supplier statements
24. Preparation of month end reports
25. Cashbooks
26. Entering payments and receipts into excel spreadsheets
27. Daily reconciliation against bank statements
28. Balance cashbook at the end of the month

Nominal Ledger
29. Journal postings
30. Reconciliation of accounts
31. Preparation of month end reports

Payroll
32. Preparation of weekly payroll
33. Input hours
34. Processing wage slips
35. Raising and dealing with payroll queries
36. Preparation of PAYE
37. Property/Tenancy duties
38. Preparation of tenancy agreements
39. Preparation of inventories
40. Marketing properties with local estate agents
41. Collection of rents
42. Carrying out property inspections
