Pay: £93 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Temporary (Long-Term)
Reed Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Scunthorpe to recruit a Behavioural Teaching Assistant for a long-term role starting in September 2026.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural support, helping them to engage with learning and feel safe, understood and supported within the classroom.
In this role, you will provide both 1:1 and small group support, implement behaviour management strategies, and use a trauma-informed approach to build positive relationships. You will work alongside teaching staff and the SENCO to deliver tailored support plans, contributing to a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment.
We are looking for a resilient and compassionate individual who can remain calm under pressure and is committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. A kind, patient and consistent approach is essential.
To be considered, you will need:
* A Level 2 Teaching Assistant or SEND qualification
* Experience supporting children with behavioural or SEMH needs
* Strong behaviour management skills
* An understanding of trauma-informed practice
* A calm, empathetic and resilient nature
