Purpose of Role
Accountable for ensuring your team is managed effectively in line with legislation, best practice, internal governance, quality assurance arrangements and local authority contracts as well as supporting continued service expansion and development.
To provide support, guidance and leadership to your team enabling them to deliver creative, flexible, effective and outcomes driven care and support to service users allowing them to achieve recovery, wellbeing and independence in a safe and supportive environment.
Ensure that the service embodies Maples values and supports clients to live independently in the community.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead a diverse team delivering support for people with learning difficulties
* Line manage Case Managers who in turn manage a team of over 20 front-line staff
* Maintain effective working partnerships with external stakeholders that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion
* Ensure support and risk management plans incorporate behavioural support strategies and positive risk management solutions to enable service users to maintain independence
* To take immediate and appropriate action to investigate and rectify any risks to health and safety arising from work activity
* Use effective team briefings to communicate company requirements and policy
* Lead on crisis resolution including follow up to safeguarding, effective risk management, reflective practice and de-brief.
* Manage service user complaints to successful resolution
* Ensure compliance with local authority contracts

* Salary range between £35,000 - £38,500 depending on experience
* 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Attributes/ Skills Required
* Extensive experience of delivering services for individuals with learning difficulties and with complex histories
* Extensive experience of leading a large team and sustaining a positive team culture
* Applied experience of performance management, in line with company policies and procedures
* Strong IT skills
* Robust knowledge of Safeguarding protocols
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, local services, and resources
* Proven experience of people management
* Relevant experience of working in mental health or another comparable field
Other Requirements
* A social care qualification would be an advantage
* A recognized management qualification would be an advantage
* Enhanced DBS clearance
* Full UK driving licence
