Overview

Activate Learning is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team as a trusted advisor and strategic collaborator. In this role, you will work closely with a variety of faculties and group services, building strong partnerships to support leaders in delivering their people strategies and achieving key organisational goals.

As a key member of the HR function, you will provide expert coaching, strategic guidance and tailored support to people leaders, promoting a proactive, customer-focused approach. You will also contribute to shaping and delivering a positive employee journey, working closely with the wider HR team to drive engagement, performance and development across the organisation.

This role is based at City of Oxford campus, with the ability to travel to our other campuses and offers the flexibility to work within a hybrid model.


What makes a successful HR Partner at Activate Learning?

You will demonstrate confidence in influencing senior stakeholders, coaching leaders and nurturing a culture founded on trust and collaboration. Taking a proactive, solutions-focused approach to employee relations, you will offer expert guidance on employment legislation and lead on key initiatives, including organisational change, mergers, restructures and TUPE transfers.

* CIPD Level 5 qualification (or above) or equivalent HR experience.
* Significant operational and strategic HR experience within a unionised environment.
* Proven success in managing complex and sensitive employee relations cases.
* Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practice and employee relations procedures.
* Confident in using HR systems and people data to inform decision-making (iTrent experience is an advantage).
