Housekeeper / PA Job – York North Yorkshire – start ASAP - £40,000 to £45,000 GPA
Our client is looking for an experienced Housekeeper / PA / Family Assistant to take on a hands on and varied role looking after a family home in central York. Household of one adult and three older children (eldest at university). They also have a dog who may be present during school holidays. You will be looking after a 5-storey town house which is within easy walking distance from the train station and also within easy access for someone driving from outside of town (parking available).
Candidates need to be flexible, adaptable and happy to switch between a hands on Housekeeping role one week, and then a PA / Family Assistant role the next on a rotational basis. You may also be required to help on occasions at a second property in the Lake District.
This will be a long-term role for someone who is open to a possible relocation with the family in a years’ time, or a role for someone who is happy to make a commitment for a minimum of one year. This will be a live out role so ideally, we are looking for local candidates who are already in the area but we will also consider applications from candidates who will relocate to the area.
Duties will include:
Housekeeping week – working at the client’s home near York
1. Hands on cleaning – all dusting, hoovering, bathroom cleaning and bed changing
2. Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
3. Running errands and shopping for the household
4. Managing household provisions
5. Basic family meal preparation 2/3 times per week, more during school holidays
6. Driver essential – you may also be required to help with some driving duties including driving members of the family
Personal / Family Assistant week – mostly likely working from home
7. Email and diary management
8. Organising and coordinating family appointments and diaries
9. Travel research and bookings management
10. Household management - Monitoring and managing household bills, booking utility services
11. Liaising with trades and contractors
12. Some business-related administration
Previous experience in a similar role is essential as are excellent references and an Enhanced DBS check. Driver essential (car provided for work use)

Salary £40,000 to £45,000 GPA
This will be a live out role so ideally, we are looking for local candidates who are already in the area but we will also consider applications from candidates who will relocate to the area (and the client will consider a contribution towards renting accommodation).
