Role Overview:
Advance the People Technology team by championing Data and enabling JD to make data-driven decisions with People Data as the source.
As a Data Analyst, you will provide support across all workstreams and be integral in the planning, design, development, configuration, and deployment of all data activities. You will be technically confident and be able to engage with stakeholders and business subject matter experts.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
* Engaging in effective conversations around requirements and asking the right questions to scope and solve the requests
* Actively participate in knowledge transfer
* Apply business intelligence, analytics, and reporting knowledge to deliver excellent reporting and analytics
* Identify data-related errors and resolve issues
* Partner with business groups (, Operations, Reward, Finance) to understand requirements and facilitate data-driven solutions
* Support the end-to-end deployment (design, build, test) and ongoing maintenance of data flows across a wide array of functional areas
* Provide technical advice regarding data conversion, integration solution options, report building, analytics and data security
* Implement policies/standards and offer technical solutions to gain process efficiency and improve data integrity
* Recommend different ways to constantly improve data reliability and quality
* Manage and meet multiple deadlines and deliverables
* Support the Data Strategy in all aspects of your work
* Serve as a contact point for JD stakeholders
* Create and customize reports, summarise key takeaways, make recommendations and propose action plans
* Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
* Make data-based process improvement recommendations
* Perform related duties and activities as assigned
* Create and maintain documentation for all data processes
Essential Skills/Experience/Knowledge
* Ability to consider and evaluate solutions to problems under own initiative
* Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders to advise on best working practice
* Elevated level of attention to detail with strong administrative and organisational skills and be able to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines
* Be aware of GDPR and be able to act with absolute discretion and confidentiality
* Be data curious, aware of how to use data effectively and aware of new/emerging trends in the data analytics space
* Experience of working with multiple, disparate data sets
* Ensure high data quality through regular quality checks
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VBA advantageous)
* Experience of Python or other formal programming language
* Exposure to reporting/analytics tools ( Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
* Strong team player with ability to self-motivate and motivate others
* Confident and courteous in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong communication skills both written and oral
* Gather and analyse data to guide decision making and improve performance
* Upskill junior members of the Data team
Optional Skills/Experience/Knowledge
* Experience with HCM solutions in a SaaS environment across multiple territories
* Ability to analyse complex data requirements with a view to the development of data conversion or providing analytic information
* Ability to create and maintain client ready data conversion requirements documents
* Experience in developing frameworks for data management and warehousing
* Experience of complex global integrations between multiple suppliers and internal applications
* Knowledge of SQL – Transact-SQL preferred
* Understanding of broad data analytics methodologies; data storytelling; data products
* Awareness of version control concepts - Git preferred
* Familiarity with IT/Data design and development methodologies ( Agile, DevOps, DataOps)
