Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of an office in Manchester, on behalf of an SME refurbishment roofing contractor. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organisational skills, along with experience in team management, ideally also a background in construction or call-out office management, roofing-specific specific is not essential. You will be responsible for supervising staff, managing office resources, and maintaining a productive work environment.

Responsibilities

* Oversee daily office operations and ensure efficient workflow
* Manage and organise field-based roofers, no prior experience required
* Maintain accurate records
* Answer call outs, inbound calls and organise action as required.
* Coordinate human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
* Implement office policies and procedures to enhance productivity
* Handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence management
* Ensure effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders
* Organise meetings, prepare agendas.
* Maintain an organised office environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency

Qualifications

* Proven experience in an office management role or similar position
* Excellent team management skills with a focus on collaboration
* Supervising experience is essential for overseeing staff performance
* Prior clerical or administrative experience is required
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Professional phone etiquette to represent the company positively
