What our client is offering for the successful Metal Finishing Technician
Salary: £32,760 - £34,515 per annum inclusive of shift premium (DOE)
* £28,000 - £29,500 basic salary (DOE) plus 17% shift premium
Working hours:
* Week 1: Monday - Wednesday 05:55-17:40 (11.75 hours)
* Week 2: Thursday - Saturday 05:55-17:40 (11.75 hours)
15 shift holidays (equivalent to 25 days 3/5ths) plus bank holidays off.
Permanent position
If you are off shift on a bank holiday, you get a day back in lieu.

The Role - Metal Finishing Technician
* Mirror or satin finishing products manufactured from stainless steel or Hastelloy, utilizing fixed and hand-held polishing equipment.
* Prepping parts for and loading / unloading parts into trough vibrator (Rosler)
* Operation of a parts wash booth
* Loading and unloading parts into an ultraclean wash/passivation system
* Quality checking your own work at each step and ensuring that parts meet high surface finish requirements and are free from damage and contamination
* Final inspection processes using hard gauging and CMM equipment
* Daily and weekly maintenance of all equipment in the part-finishing cell
* Picking finished parts to contracts, ready for build.
What our client is looking for in the successful Metal Finishing Technician
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Previous experience working in positions such as polisher, grinder, fettler or linisher.
* Experience in using hand grinders in a production environment
* Experience of working in a metal manufacturing industry
* Quality focused, with great attention to detail
