Project Manager – M&E (Electrical or Mechanical Bias) Location: Essex & London Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (DOE) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent They provide M&E services to a wide range of clients across Commercial, Education, MOJ, Healthcare and Industrial sectors throughout essex and london The successful candidate will be responsible for managing maintenance works and small to medium-sized M&E projects mainly in eduucation, typically up to £50k–£250k in value. The Role As the M&E Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical and/or electrical projects from handover through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities * Manage the day-to-day operations of M&E maintenance and small works projects up to £250,000. * Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key clients. * Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely and efficient manner. * Prepare quotations, cost plans and project programmes. * Oversee site operatives and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. * Allocate labour and resources effectively to meet client deadlines while maintaining quality standards. * Ensure all works comply with current M&E regulations and Health & Safety requirements. * Maintain accurate project records, documentation and reporting. * Ensure smooth project handover and provide aftercare support where required. * Liaise closely with the large projects division to support workload and resource planning. * Support business development through repeat work and client relationship management. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Essential * Proven experience as a Project Manager within Mechanical or Electrical services. * Strong overall knowledge of M&E systems and installation methods. * Experience managing maintenance contracts and installation projects up to £50k–£250k. * Ability to manage projects from conception to completion, including quoting, procurement and delivery. * Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure. * Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills. * Strong IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. * * Valid SMSTS or SSSTS and CSCS Gold Card. * Relevant Mechanical or Electrical industry qualifications. Desirable Experience working within Commercial, Healthcare, Education or Industrial environments. Knowledge of compliance and statutory testing requirements.
