Talent Acquisition Manager at the Austin Company
Austin’s work revolves around the Life Science sector, designing R&D laboratories and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. You will handle engineering assignments ranging from mechanical designs to leading multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, you will support site delivery as part of Austin's broader project construction team.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will likely manage multiple projects simultaneously, taking ownership of mechanical projects to ensure delivery according to the schedule and resources. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and project managers. You will also be involved in investigating and utilizing the latest technologies, designing to meet client’s Net Zero sustainability targets, and addressing complex design aspects of life science projects.
Furthermore, you will work closely with the Head of Department to enhance departmental capabilities.
What do we need from you?
* UK experience of 10+ years, preferably in the building services sector
* A keen interest in working on complex and challenging projects
* An engineer with an appropriate engineering degree
* Preferably a member of a Professional Engineering Institution
* Discipline-specific experience in design within a relevant industry sector
* Proficient in MS Office applications, experienced with navigating 3D Revit models using Navisworks Viewer, and familiar with Microsoft Teams and Navisworks
* Organizational skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve technical design or quality issues
* Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and arguments to clients
* Self-motivated team player
* Flexible, adaptable, proactive attitude, capable of handling design tasks, client meetings, and site visits
* Valid UK driving license
