As an Integrated Logistics Pricing Engineer, your primary responsibility is to work with the EMEIA Commercial teams and Contract Logistics teams to assess the requirements set out by new potential clients and existing clients.
A knowledge of warehousing operations, equipment and flows would be an advantage. You will be required to complete a financial model that captures all relatable costs and sets out our pricing strategies that enhances profitability and competitiveness in our warehousing & Contract Logistics operations.
In this role, you will work closely with various members of the Crane Worldwide team to gather essential pricing data and requirements, including input from Commercial, Solution design engineers optimising warehouse layout and staffing, and developing financial analysis models for executive-level evaluation.
You will be the main point of contact during the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, ensuring a customer-centric approach and alignment with pricing strategies.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Responsible for Contract Logistics pricing for new and existing clients and providing analytical assessment for our financial models.
2. Analyses complex opportunities identifying valuable data about a clients products and business model. Then developing an assessment on how Crane Worldwide might handle this business, identifying the infrastructure and resources needed to service the client.
3. Developing a comprehensive cost model capturing all the costs relatable to servicing the business and preparing a revenue model showing profitability over the contract period.
4. Pricing Strategy Development: Develop and maintain pricing strategies for warehouse services, including storage, handling, and value-added services, considering cost factors, market conditions, and profitability goals.
5. Maintain thorough documentation of the scope of work and assumptions for all integrated logistics opportunities. Identify potential risks and propose alternatives to mitigate risk.
6. Contract Management: Manage pricing and rate agreements with clients, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
7. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in pricing strategies, tools, and processes and work with the team to implement enhancements.

8. Contract Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of the requirements to handle, move and store different Units of Measure.
9. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, mathematical modelling, and cost analysis to make informed pricing decisions.
10. Communication: Strong communication skills to convey pricing strategies and data to both internal teams and clients.
11. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of warehouse and logistics industry practices, warehouse infrastructure, material handling equipment, trends, and competition.
12. Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify challenges and develop innovative solutions.
13. Time Management: Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple pricing projects simultaneously.
14. Must have strong computer skills associated with the utilisation of Excel, PowerPoint, Smart Sheets
15. Other software skills as preferred, such as Visio, Outlook, Power BI, AutoCad etc.
Education and Experience:
16. Bachelor’s Degree required
17. 2+ years of pricing strategy experience
18. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
