We are recruiting for a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer for a Book Manufacturing Company
Our client is looking for at least 2 years maintenance experience in a fast-paced production environment, with a strong electronics background.
Hours: 6am - 6pm = 12 hours
Rota shift: 3 shifts on, 3 shifts off / 36 hours per week with additional 20 Banked Shifts per annum
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Maintenance of equipment
2. Troubleshooting - diagnosis of mechanical/electrical faults
3. Perform preventative maintenance tasks
4. Liaise with suppliers of production equipment
5. Liaise with Production Manager and Shift Leaders on priority issues
6. Source spare parts as required
7. Maintain stock levels of critical parts in line with cost controls, repair parts, replacement recommendations
8. Performance of other maintenance duties throughout the building as required
(Engineers will also assist, support, and work in general operations, facilities maintenance, or production areas to assist with the production of books as business needs or shift leads dictate.)
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:
GCSE: Maths & English Grade C or above
City & Guilds / NVQ or comparable qualification
18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671) City and Guilds 2382 qualification desirable
SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Ability to retain knowledge of how to use machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance needs
* Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
* Engineering/electrical knowledge and strong diagnostic skills
* Ability to apply mastery of skills in adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment, as appropriate
