Title: Legal Secretary Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time (Monday Friday) Location: Inverness Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 depending on experience Details: Our client is looking to appoint a Legal Secretary to be based in their office in Inverness. This is a full time, permanent role and the purpose is to provide typing and secretarial support to the Solicitors as well as additional ad hoc support. Duties include: Copy and audio typing a range of correspondence and documentation containing legal terminology. Assisting with the settlement of transactions. Drafting documents. Submit documents for registration. Dealing with general client enquiries, face-to-face, via the telephone, or electronically. Advise new clients on procedure and requirements. Diary management. Additional administration duties such as typing, scanning, filing and answering the telephone. Adhere to the companys Health and Safety Policy. Draft all client correspondence and monitoring emails. Person Specification: Essential Skills & Abilities Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand and follow procedures. IT literacy, particularly in standard MS office applications. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients. Good interpersonal skills Commitment to continuous personal development. Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail and work under pressure. Ability to be flexible and to prioritise workload. Desirable Skills / Abilities Prior legal experience. Confident, enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable.
