We're seeking someone to join our Tech Risk Solutions team as a Business Analyst in Technology Risk Controls Engineering (TRCE) with a focus on sourcing data from various technology platforms across the firm into a centralized data platform used to build various reporting and analytics solutions for Technology Risk.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Associate Business Analyst position, which is part of the job family responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to ensure operational continuity and resilience in the face of potential threats or disruptions that could impact the organization, plus management of ongoing incidents.

What you'll do in the role:
* Contribute to the function through a range of operational activities and project tasks, developing an understanding of the business and operating environment.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors to gather and analyse business requirements for custom and prepackaged software solutions.
* Conduct detailed business process analysis to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and automation within the organization.
* Work closely with project managers and developers to translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
* Take ownership of requirement management, ensuring traceability from initial requirements through to system deployment and maintenance.
* Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings.
* Participate in system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing to ensure the delivered solution meets business needs and expectations.
* Identify and document risks, issues, and dependencies related to technology projects and propose mitigation strategies.
* Provide support and guidance to junior business analysts and other team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the technology department.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Ability to engage with the broader team, communicate goals, tasks and deliverables in 1-1 and team meetings.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Master's degree or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment, preferably in the banking or finance industry.
* Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
